CONSTRUCTION
CONDUCTOR - Manufactured using 99.97% pure electrolytic grade bright annealed bare copper, with more than 100% conductivity, for greater saving of electrical energy; lower electricity bills. Conductor is made of multiple strands of finely drawn copper wires offering greater flexibility, making these wires ideal for conduit wiring.
INSULATION - Insulated with specially formulated FR (Flame Retardant) PVC compound with FR properties of High Oxygen & Temp. Index, giving extra protection against electric shocks, short circuits & fires. This special compound also has high Insulation Resistance & Di-electric Strength with better electrical properties.

Critical Oxygen Index | Determines the Flame Retardance property of Insulation material, by assessing the percentage of oxygen that supports combustion of Insulating material, at room temp. Higher the Oxygen Index, better the Flame Retardance of Insulation. | ASTM-D 2863 IS10810 P-58 |
< 29 % | > 29 % |
Temprature Index | Determines the temp. at which, normal oxygen content of 21% in air, supports combustion of insulating material. Higher the Temp. Index, better the Flame Retardance of Insulation. | ASTM-D 2863 IS10810 P- 64 |

Formula for Calculation
Incomer Rating : Single Phase (Amps.) = Total Load (Watts) / 230 Volts *Cos ϕ
Three Phase (Amps.) = Total Load (Watts) / √3 * 230 Volts *Cos ϕ
* The above data is only for guidance and may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The proper load of appliance should be checked for current requirement & appropriate Wire & MCB size should be selected accordingly.

The human body's reaction to electric shock - Electrical shocks, passing through the human body, confuses its internal nervous system and it causes the body to react to the passage of current through it as follows:
CURRENT | REACTION |
---|---|
Below 1 Amp | Generally not perceptible |
1 mA | Faint Tingle |
5 mA | Slight shock felt. Not painful but disturbing. Average individual can let go. Strong involuntary reactions can lead to other injuries |
6 ~ 25 mA (Women) | Painful shocks. Loss of muscle control |
9 ~ 30 mA (Men) | The freezing current or “let go” range. If extensor muscles are excited by shock, the person may be thrown away from the power source. Individuals cannot let go. Strong involuntary reactions can lead to other injuries |
50 ~ 150 mA | Extreme pain, respiratory arrest, severe muscle reactions. Death is possible |
1 ~ 4.3 Amps. | Rhythmic pumping action of the heart ceases. Muscular contraction and nerve damage occur; death is likely |
10 Amps. | Cardiac arrest, severe burns, death is probable |
